Enfield company wins heat pump Q3 award from N.S. Power

ENFIELD: A family owned and operated business in Enfield has been recognized with an award from Nova Scotia Power.

Southwind Energy learned in October that they were the utilities winner for the Heat Pump Contractor Recognition Program – Q3 2020 Award. They did not receive the award until mid Nov.

“We have shown exemplified customer service, safety and attention to detail in all parts of our business,” the company told The Laker News.

The owner and lead installer, Kevin, is a third generation HVAC technician learning all he knows from both his father and grandfather.

Over the years, Kevin was mentored by his father. Together, they traveled the globe, building custom industrial refrigeration units, specifically designed by his father to dry out huge vats of fish and fruit.

Today, Kevin leads a team of installers that take pride in their work, installing residential heat pumps.

Also in 2019 Kevin was recognize by Panasonic and won Air Conditioners Canada VIP Partners Award. This coincided with an invitation from Panasonic to Japan where he did some work.
