RCMP investigating Cobequid Rd. apartment fire as arson

LOWER SACKVILLE: The RCMP/HRP Integrated General Investigation Section is investigating an arson that occurred yesterday in Lower Sackville.

At 12:30 p.m. on September 15, Halifax District RCMP were called to a structure fire at an apartment building on Cobequid Rd. in Lower Sackville.

Two separate fires were located and put out by Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency. The fires are believed to be suspicious in nature. Approximately 50 to 60 residents were evacuated without incident.

No one was injured during this incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
