Snowy weather keeps East Hants first responders busy

SHUBENACADIE: First responders in East Hants were kept busy on the morning of Dec. 16.

East Hants RCMP S/Sgt. Cory Bushell said officers had their hands full with crash after crash.

“Collisions were occurring both in the northbound and southbound lanes of Hwy 102 near exit 10 in Shubenacadie,” said S/Sgt. Bushell.

He said for the entire morning, East Hants RCMP, local firefighters and EHS attended call after call along the slippery stretch of highway.

“The weather damaged multiple cars and also several transport trucks,” he said.

S/Sgt. Bushell said thankfully, there were no serious injuries were reported from those involved.
