GRAND LAKE/OAKFIELD: Spring is in the air! It has been a long year (or more)! Vaccinations are underway!

N.S. is the safest place in North America. Public health measures are keeping us safe so – let’s Bubble COVID Style.

The St. Margaret’s Anglican Church is holding it’s annual Fundraising Dinner (and small auction) on May 1, 2021.  They’re asking people to come join them. Tickets are $70 each.

The current public health restrictions allow a maximum of 75 guests at the Oakfield Golf & Country Club. There will be ‘bubble tables’ of 4 or 6 or 8.  There is no silent auction or mingling around.

There will be a physical distance of two metres and, of course, wear masks…. choose your most fashionable one.

Not quite comfortable in attending an event or you have a fishing or golf weekend planned already?  There are other ways to support St. Margaret’s!! You can:

  • Sponsor a ticket or two for someone who otherwise might not attend!
  • Make a donation!
  • Donate or contribute to a door prize for the evening!
  • Buy a raffle ticket (or five) ahead of the evening!

Please contact Janet Braunstein Moody at jbmoody007@yahoo.ca or 902-860-0665.

The church is also having a raffle selling tickets for 3 fabulous prizes and the winners will be picked the night of the dinner, a 50/50, live auction and a door prize or two.  But mostly it is a time to be together with friends and celebrate our resilience and fortitude and support St. Margaret’s Church.

But there’s even more.

The Church has booked Saturday, October 30, 2021 for their big fundraising event where they hope it will allow a larger number and some activities.
