SCOTIA SPEEDWORLD: One of the richest and most anticipated short-track races in Atlantic Canada returns Saturday afternoon as the Summer Clash 250 brings the stars of the Fort Garry Industries Pro Stock Tour to Scotia Speedworld for a 250-lap showdown worth $15,000 to the winner.
One of the marquee events of the FGI Pro Stock Tour features one of the biggest purses on the regional racing calendar, with drivers chasing not only points in the championship but also a lucrative payout that stretches throughout the field.
The runner-up will earn $6,500, while third pays $4,500, fourth $3,500 and fifth $3,000. Sixth through 10th will receive $2,300, $2,100, $1,950, $1,900 and $1,800, respectively, with every starter taking home at least $1,450.
Adding even more incentive is nearly $18,750 in lap money, along with a long list of contingency awards, making every lap of the 250-lap marathon valuable.
NASCAR Truck series driver Cole Butcher will wheel his familiar no. 53 hot rod around Speedworld looking to spoil the night for the regulars on the tour.

All eyes will be on Nic Naugle, who will be looking to add another checkered flag to his growing résumé.
The Nova Scotia standout has been among the Pro Stock Tour’s top performers and enters the weekend as one of the favourites in the annual summer classic.
The race also offers several bonus awards, including the $6,000 Top Construction Time Trial prize, the Swift Springs Hard Charger Award, QA1 Free Pass Award, Five Star Hard Luck Award, Eastlink Fastest Lap Award, R&D Performance Centre Most Laps Led Award, and the N&B Excavating Future Winner Award for the highest-finishing driver who has never won a Pro Stock Tour feature.

Saturday’s on-track action begins well before the feature event.
Pit gates and technical inspection open at 11 a.m., with practice getting underway at 12:30 p.m. Grandstand gates open at 1 p.m., followed by multiple Pro Stock Tour practice sessions and practice for the Maritime Legends and Heart of a Champion Hot Rod classes throughout the afternoon.
Racing gets underway at 4 p.m. with heat races for the Maritime Legends, Heart of a Champion Hot Rods and the FGI Pro Stock Tour.
Following the qualifying heats, fans will enjoy the Maritime Legends Schooner General Contracting 50, the Maritime Car Wash Classic for the Hot Rods, the popular Summer Clash 250 autograph session and opening ceremonies before the field takes the green flag for the 250-lap Summer Clash 250 presented by Superior Foundations and Atlantic Tiltload.
With a packed grandstand expected, a $15,000 winner’s payday on the line and one of Atlantic Canada’s premier short-track events ready to unfold, Saturday promises another memorable chapter in the history of the Summer Clash 250 at Scotia Speedworld.
