WAVERLEY: While COVID19 may have halted any in-school Remembrance Day assembly, the students at Waverley Memorial made sure the Veterans in and around their community know they honour and are thinking of them, and thank them for their sacrifices.

Outside the school on Rocky Lake Drive, WMES posted several Remembrance Day designs from students at the school on the fence along the school grounds for all to see.

The school also held a virtual Remembrance Day service, with some videos sent in from local military representatives..

The display of poppies and crosses on the fence is quite a sight to see and one you can’t miss as you drive Rocky Lake Drive in Waverley.

Check it out if you can while out and about.

Other area schools also did Remembrance Day displays, but they were mostly inside the school from the tweets we saw.
