EAST HANTS: RCMP received a report on April 9 that two area youth had come upon what they thought was human remains.

S/Sgt. Cory Bushell, in his weekly From the Cruiser report, said that the youth were out walking and came upon what they thought was a deceased person near railway tracks in a semi-secluded area.

“Officers made an immediate patrol and found a local woman was lying in proximity to the tracks,” said S/Sgt. Bushell, “but basking in the spring sun.”

The woman told the officers she had fallen asleep. S/Sgt Bushell said that made the woman appear to be deceased to the youth/

“After confirming there were no underlying matters to be concerned with, members concluded the matter,” he said.
