Halifax Transit service changes effective Aug. 24

HALIFAX: The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that Halifax Transit service changes will take effect on Monday, Aug. 24, 2026.

The changes include updates to routes serving Tantallon, Sheldrake Lake and Purcells Cove, as well as temporary routing adjustments for select express routes near Kempt Road.

Route 330 service changes

The current 330 Tantallon-Sheldrake Lake Regional Express route will be replaced with two branches:

330A Tantallon-Sheldrake Lake Regional Express will provide direct service between the Tantallon Park & Ride and Scotia Square, bypassing the Sheldrake Lake Park & Ride.

330B Tantallon-Sheldrake Lake Regional Express will continue to serve the Sheldrake Lake Park & Ride while operating between the Tantallon Park & Ride and Scotia Square.

Route 415 service changes

All morning trips on Route 415 Purcells Cove will depart 10 minutes later than current scheduled times.

In addition, there are inbound routing changes for Routes 135, 138 and 330A/B in the Kempt Road area. This includes the closure of transit stops at Kempt Road after Lady Hammond Road (7045), as well as Kempt Road before Young Street (8635).

Riders are encouraged to review updated schedules and route information before travelling and can continue using third-party trip planning apps to access Halifax Transit data in real time.
