WAVERLEY: The Fall River & Area Lions Club continue to do good work and help out with projects in the community.

That’s only possible with the support and donations they receive from the community, including the community supporting the weekly Wing Night at the LWF Hall and donations from fundraising events.

Such fundraising includes the 50/50 raffle held at the yearly N.S. Art & Craft Sale, which occurs the first weekend in November at the Waverley Legion, located on Rocky Lake Drive. Their Facebook Page with events can be found by clicking here.

Recently, members from the volunteer-run N.S. Art & Craft Sale gathered together with representatives of the Fall River & Area Lions Club to present a cheque from this year’s raffle sales.

The sale presented King Lion Kirk Stephen and Lion John Bona with a cheque for $1,200 raised from the 50/50 ticket sales.

In past years the donation has gone to the Lions Christmas Express, however this year the raffle sales were given to the Lions Club to disperse how they saw fit and towards needs in the community they serve.

The Craft Sale would like to than all those who turned out to the event, held Nov. 5-6 at the Legion and purchased 50/50 tickets, as those sales are what made the donation possible. They look forward to seeing you in 2022.
