BEAVER BANK: A 19-year-old Beaver Bank man has been arrested for impaired driving following a two=-vehicle collision in the community late on Wednesday night.

Police say that at approximately 11:47 p.m., RCMP, local fire fighters, and EHS responded to the collision in the 200 block of Beaver Bank Rd. 

This is near Beaver Bank station and Woodbine Mobile Home Park.

Officers learned a Honda Civic with two occupants was travelling south when it side-swiped an oncoming Mazda 3 that was travelling north.

At the scene, the driver of the Civic, the 19-year-old-man showed signs of impairment. 

He was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.   

The driver and passenger were transported to hospital by EHS with non-life-threatening injuries. 

RCMP attended the hospital where a demand for blood was made. 

The driver was released on conditions and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date.   

The driver of the Mazda did not report any injuries. 

The investigation is ongoing.
