ELMSDALE: When Mariah Snow became a mom, she never expected her parenting journey would lead to launching a fast-growing baby brand.

Today, her company Baby Bliss is making waves in the baby product market—thanks in part to the support she received from the Kings Hants CBDC.

Snow, based at 71 Park Road Unit D in the Elmsdale Business Park, designs safe, practical, and stylish products for babies and toddlers, including pacifiers, teethers, and feeding items.

What began as an idea sparked by a simple silicone bib has grown into a company selling in more than 200 independent retailers across Canada and on Amazon, where many of her items have earned the highly sought-after Amazon’s Choice badge.

But Snow admits that getting to this stage wasn’t easy. The biggest challenge? Inventory.

“We were at a point where demand was growing, but I didn’t have the inventory to meet it,” she explained. “Without more stock, I couldn’t grow.”

That’s when she turned to the Kings Hants CBDC.

“They gave me funding for inventory, and it was honestly life-changing,” Snow said. “The very next month after receiving their support, our sales doubled. It also gave me the opportunity to open a physical location to handle the growth. None of this would have been possible without the CBDC.”

The CBDC’s help extended beyond financing. Snow said the advice and mentorship provided were just as important as the funding itself.

“They helped me look more closely at my financials and focus on profitability. That kind of guidance has been huge for me as a young entrepreneur,” she said.

The results speak for themselves. Since incorporating in 2023, Baby Bliss has expanded rapidly, gaining national recognition and even earning Snow nominations for New Business of the Year and Young Entrepreneur of the Year through the East Hants & Districts Chamber of Commerce.

Looking ahead, Snow hopes to see Baby Bliss products reach larger national chains while continuing to launch new designs and grow her local presence.

She encourages other entrepreneurs with a dream to take advantage of what the CBDC offers.

“If you have a plan and the numbers to back it up, the CBDC will support you. They’ve been amazing, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them,” said Snow.

For Baby Bliss, the future is bright—and the Kings Hants CBDC has played a key role in helping the business, and its founder, thrive.
