Laker-COMMUNITY

FALL RIVER: Teams are still being sought for the annual four -on-four fundraising street hockey tournament, held yearly at the cul-de-sac at Aberdeen Drive in St. Andrews Village.

The tournament is organized by Steve MacLellan as a way to give back to the community. The costs to enter is $5 per player. If you own a business or are a member of FRABA, there’s opportunities to promote your business for free at the event.

This year’s event will see the winning team decide where the tournament proceeds will be directed too.

It all begins June 15 with a Under-10 tournament for kids at 10 a.m., before the adults take to the paved cul-de-sac for game action beginning at 12:30 noon. A BBQ will take place from 12-1.

Several community businesses have stepped up to make the event possible.

The tournament will wrap-up at 5:30 p.m., with a bonfire to follow.

To enter a team or participate yourself contact MacLellan at 902-240-6508.
