COLCHESTER COUNTY: A 32-year-old man wanted for failure to comply with conditions issued by the courts was arrested after barricading himself inside a home in Truro Heights for more than five hours.
Colchester County District RCMP and the Colchester Community Action Team, with support from the Nova Scotia RCMP Emergency Response Team and RCMP Police Dog Services, arrested one person in Truro Heights related to an ongoing investigation.
On October 7 at approximately 8:45 a.m., officers learned that Paul “Andy” Kellock was at a residence on Truro Heights Rd.
Officers attended and Kellock refused to exit the home.
In consideration of public and police safety, members of the Nova Scotia RCMP Emergency Response Team and the Crisis Negotiation Team attended.

At approximately 1:55 p.m., Kellock, 32, of Millbrook, exited the home and was safely arrested.
He is facing two charges of Failure to Comply with Release Order, in addition to over thirty other charges currently before the courts.
Kellock had a first court appearance on October 8 at Truro Provincial Court.
Out of an abundance of caution, Colchester County District RCMP notified a nearby school of the unfolding matter and requested that school bus drop-offs in the area be temporarily delayed.
School bus routes were returned to the normal schedule after the arrest.
Officers appreciated cooperation from the public during the incident.
