SHUBENACADIE: The annual Feb. 2 Groundhog Day event at Shubenacadie Wildlife Park is cancelled due to the forecast for blowing snow.
The blowing snow could create unsafe driving conditions for people traveling to the park.
Shubenacadie Sam will not see a shadow, which – according to folklore – means an early spring.
