GEORGEFIELD: RCMP are investigating a suspicious fire at a house on Allison Road in Georgefield on Dec. 18.
East Hants RCMP S/Sgt. Cory Bushell said police received a 911 call of a structure fire and responded, along with EHS and East Hants Firefighters.
“Upon arrival, officers found the home completely engulfed in flames,” said S/Sgt. Bushell.
He said firefighters were rapidly on scene to fight the blaze, but the home was already burned nearly down to the foundation.
S/Sgt. Bushell said there were no injuries sustained as a result of the fire.
“This fire is suspicious in nature,” he said.
