Man arrested for assault, impaired driving at Kennetcook business

KENNETCOOK: A 69-year-old Kennetcook man has been arrested after an incident at a business in the community on May 21.

S/Sgt. Cory Bushell, with East Hants RCMP, said officers were called to the business after reports of an intoxicated person who was causing a disturbance and assaulted employees.

“Upon arrival, the male, from the Kennetcook area was arrested and taken to Enfield detachment to submit samples of his breath,” said S/Sgt. Bushell.

The man was subsequently released on an undertaking for court at a later date for several charges.

Among those charges include impaired driving and assault.
