EAST UNIACKE: RCMP say one person was sent to hospital following a sea-doo collision in East Uniacke on May 22.

East Hants RCMP S/Sgt. Cory Bushell, in his weekly From the Cruiser column, sponsored by GNS Equipment Rentals, detailed the incident with the sea-doos that officers responded to.

He said the investigation revealed two adult individuals were riding separate sea-doos when there was miscommunication on which way each was turning.

“They turned in the same direction and collided, throwing them from the sea-doos,” said S/Sgt. Bushell.

He said both individuals were wearing life jackets and able to get safely to shore.

S/Sgt. Bushell said one person was injured and required hospitalization.
