OAKFIELD: The community is being encouraged to come out and hear details on plans for the replacement of the Oakfield Park Road bridge.

In a notice to residents, it indicates that the meeting is scheduled for Oct. 22 at St. Margaret’s Church in Oakfield, beginning at 7 p.m.

At the meeting, members of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (TIR) will speak to residents about the planning, design and construction of the replacement bridge on Oakfield Park Road.

TIR staff scheduled to be present according to a letter to the community will include: Paige Vincent, Project Engineer who will be over seeing the construction; Tristan Richardson-Prager, Bridge Design Engineer who oversaw the design of the structure;and Matt Clarke, Senior Project Engineer for Hants & Halifax County.

Residents are encouraged to come to the meeting with questions for the TIR representatives.
