Two Wellington men, Beaver Bank man arrested after police seize cocaine

    WELLINGTON: Three men, two from Wellington and one from Beaver Bank, have been arrested following the seizure of cocaine and firearms at six properties.

    In a release, Halifax District RCMP say their Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) searched six properties, arrested three men and seized cocaine and weapons.

    As part of a SCEU investigation, members of the RCMP and Halifax Regional Police (HRP) searched the properties in Beaver Bank, Wellington, Middle Sackville and Dartmouth. This resulted in the seizure of cocaine, cash, firearms, ammunition, body armour and drug paraphernalia.

    A 41-year-old man from Beaver Bank was arrested without incident during a traffic stop on Trinity Ln. and Ernest Ave. in Beaver Bank. He faces the following charges: · Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine; Possession of property obtained by crime; Laundering proceeds of crime; and Possession of body armour.

    Two 50-year-old men from Wellington were arrested without incident at a home in Wellington. They are facing charges of: Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and Possession of property obtained by crime.

    All three men are schedule to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on November 20.

    The investigation is ongoing.
