LOWER SACKVILLE: An outstanding performance from the Citadel High Phoenix goalie is all that stood between another win and a tie in high school girls play for the Lockview High Dragons girls hockey team on Feb. 10.

Against the Phoenix at the Sackville Sports Stadium in Lower Sackville, the game was back and forth with the Dragons getting the bulk of the chances.

Lockview put the pressure on in the final three minutes of the third period as they got chance upon chance.

However, their shooters whether it was Morgan MacKenzie, Claire Durand, Neleh Vigneau, or Olivia Woolaver, or anyone else, just could not get the puck past the very solid goalie from the opposition.

Dragons goalie Kaitlyn Langille turned away all the shots she saw in earning the point for the shutout for her Lockview mates.

The Dragons record now stands at 10-01- (won-loss-tied) with two games left to play in the COVID19 shortened season. The games are next week against Citadel, and Halifax West.
