NINE MILE RIVER: A steady stream of residents with children stopped by Nine Mile Fire Department on a beautiful Saturday morning.

The department held their annual Open House as part of Fire Prevention Week on Oct. 11.

It included tours of the fire trucks, chats with firefighters, a BBQ with supplies courtesy WIthrow’s, and a scavenger hunt for the kids.
