LOWER SACKVILLE: RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment has arrested three youths and seized a firearm and sensory irritant after executing a search warrant in relation to a home invasion on September 21 on Hillside Dr. in Lower Sackville.

On September 20, at approximately 11:53 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a home where several youth victims had sustained non-life-threatening injuries. 

The investigation revealed four masked youth entered the residence, discharged a pellet gun and assaulted one occupant. 

Four persons of interest were quickly identified based on information gathered at the scene. 

Two of the youths were safely arrested at a residence on Alder Cres.  They have since been released on conditions and are scheduled to appear in Halifax Youth Justice Court at a later date.

On September 21, at approximately 10:00 a.m., RCMP officers executed a search warrant on Alder Cres. where a pellet gun and cans of sensory irritant were seized. 

At approximately 10:50 p.m., a third youth was safely arrested on Kaye St.

He has been released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Halifax Youth Justice Court at a later date. 

The youths are facing charges of Break and Enter, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Assault with a Weapon, Disguise with Intent and Mischief. 

One is also facing a charge of Fail to Comply with Condition of Undertaking. 

The investigation is ongoing.
