RCMP investigating break-and-enter at Elmsdale business

ELMSDALE: RCMP are investigating a break-and-enter to a business in Elmsdale that left significant damage between June 30 and July 2.

In a release, Cpl. Lisa Croteau, RCMP spokeswoman, said East Hants RCMP members from the Enfield detachment responded to the scene at Paw-some Adventure on Venture Crescent in the Elmsdale Business Park.

“Between 8 p.m. on June 30 and 5:45 a.m. on July 2, suspect(s) entered the property through a rear door and exited through the front door,” said Cpl. Croteau. “The business was ransacked and cash was taken.”

Video surveillance is being obtained and reviewed to identify the suspects. The matter remains under investigation.

On its’ Facebook page, Paw-some Adventure posted the following:

“Thank you to everyone in our dog family and our even bigger East Hants Family for your support, words of kindness, coffee and treats and those who messaged us, checked cameras and to those sent or dropped off money (which is was very hard for us to accept BUT you insisted and would not let us say no ),” the post reads.

“Thank you Derek Taylor for coming and fixing our door without being asked, definitely makes us humble and grateful to live and do business in this community.

“Hopefully those responsible will be caught, charged, and convicted for this crime.”
