Woman charged following Fall River Road collision on Thursday evening

FALL RIVER: A 64-year-old has been charged following a motor vehicle collision between an SUV and a motorcycle on Thursday night, July 2 on Fall River Road.

Cpl. Lisa Croteau of Halifax District RCMP said that at 5:35 p.m. police responded to a collision on Fall River Rd. in Fall River.

“The northbound SUV was turning left and a motorcycle which was travelling southbound when it struck the SUV,” said Cpl. Croteau in a release

The driver of the motorcycle suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital in Halifax by EHS. The driver of the SUV was not injured. Station 45 Fall River also attended the call.

Fall River Road was closed for about 40 minutes ad emergency crews worked and cleared debris from the road.

The woman was charged with failing to yield when making left turn on a highway.

Cpl. Croteau said the investigation is ongoing.
