MILFORD/FALL RIVER: The school bell is about to ring on another school year for students in HRM, East Hants, and across Nova Scotia.
Teachers and admin are in on Sept. 2 and Sept. 3 finishing final planning for the coming school year in the Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE).
Sept. 2 is a school organization day at all HRCE schools.
Sept. 3 is a Professional Development Day so there’s no classes at all HRCE schools.
The first day of school for students is Sept. 4.

At Chignecto Central Regional Centre for Education (CCRCE), a school organization day is set for Sept. 2.
There will be a Professional Development Day set for Sept. 3.
On Sept. 4, students will arrive for the first day of school for the 2025-2026 school year.
For Conseil Scolaire acadien provincial (CSAP) schools, the first day of school for students will also be Sept. 4.
September 2 and 3, will be administrative and educational days reserved for school staff.
There are some students from our communities that go to CSAP so we thought we would include them as well.
