Waverley Legion Poppy Campaign supports hospital; new one begins

WAVERLEY: The 2018 Poppy Campaign at the Waverley Legion brought in $16,750 in donations, which the Legion in turn donated towards non-profit organizations in the community.

Among those donations was the Cobequid Health Centre Foundation (CHCF) in Lower Sackville.

Presenting the cheque for a cystoscope, which removes tumours from bladders and the prostate, to the Foundation are (second left) Anne Steele, Treasurer with the Legion; Anne Murray Poppy chairwoman; and Stacey Chipman, with the Health Centre Foundation. Also pictured (left) is Jamie Fraser.
