WINDSOR JUNCTION: The volunteer board at the Windsor Junction Community Centre has decided to close the beach until further notice after being informed of a blue-green algae bloom.

In a comment on the post notifying the community of the beach closure, the WJCC said they were told by NS Environment and Climate Change (NSECC) that they do not come out and test.

“They were sent photos and after reviewing the photos that it was enough for them to notify organizations operating on Third Lake of a reported bloom,” the comment said.

After that, the WJCC board made the decision to close the beach.
