LANTZ: RCMP are investigating after a vehicle that was parked at the East Hants Aquatic Centre in Elmsdale had it’s car window smashed out.
East Hants S/Sgt. Cory Bushell said police received the report of the incident on Dec. 4. A wallet was stolen from the vehicle.
“A short while later, the culprit or an associate attempted unsuccessfully to use a credit card from the stolen wallet at a gas station in Elmsdale,” he said.
He said the matter remains under investigation.
S/Sgt. Bushell is encouraging anyone with information to contact the East Hants RCMP at 902-883-7077 or Crime Stoppers.
He wished to remind residents not to store valuables in vehicles, to always lock care doors, and if valuables must be left inside the vehicle, to ensure they are hidden from view.
