Adjournment granted in case involving Five Mile River man

SHUBENACADIE: An adjournment was requested by the lawyer for a Five Mile River man charged with child pornography offences in late 2020.

In late November 2020, an investigation began by Halifax District RCMP and the RCMP/HRP Integrated Sexual Assault Investigation Team (SAIT) following a report of a man possessing child pornography. 

On December 16, 2020, the RCMP searched a home in Five Mile River, assisted by the Halifax Regional Police (HRP) Digital Forensics Unit, RCMP Provincial Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit, and East Hants RCMP.

As a result, Colin Wesley Pynn, 42, has been charged with: Possession of Child Pornography; Making Child Pornography; and Sexual Interference.

The adjournment was granted. He is now due back in court for election and plea on April 12.
