Dragons, Tigers players named to Metro High School all star teams

FALL RIVER: Four players on the Lockview High Dragons and Hants East Tigers girl’s hockey teams were named team all stars by the Metro High School Girls Hockey League recently.

HERH Tigers Cassidy Totten of Lantz and goalie Morgan Henson were the players from the East Hants team selected.

Meanwhile, Morgan MacKenzie and Neleh Vigneau Sargeant, both from Fall River, were selected from the Lockview High Dragons.

LHS had an 11-1-1 (won-loss-tied) record in the Pink conference during the COVID19 delayed and shortened regular season. The team’s only loss over the 13 games they played came on Feb. 17 against Halifax West.

Lockview has won their playoff opener, held Feb. 22, trouncing Dartmouth High by a score of 6-2. Vigneau Sargeant led the way with a hat trick and an assist. Clair Munro had two goals, while Fiona Day had the single tally.

MacKenzie had two assists in the game.

HERH Tigers managed to get just five games in, finishing with a 2-2-1 (won-loss-tied) record in the Purple Conference.

Totten contributed three goals and four assists for HERH during their five-game season.

Henson was the Tigers goalie, playing in two games according to online stats.
