Enfield man faces cocaine charges after traffic stop

SHUBENACADIE: A keen eye by an East Hants RCMP officer has landed a 42-year-old Enfield man with a court date.

While out on patrol during the early morning hours of Dec. 13 in the Shubenacadie area, the officer detected something was out of sorts with a vehicle he seen travelling.

The officer conducted a traffic stop because of the suspicious vehicle.

“The driver turned out to have an outstanding warrant as well as cocaine in the vehicle,” said S/Sgt. Cory Bushell.

He said the driver, a 42-year-old Enfield man was arrested and charged.

The man is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
