BATHURST, N.B.: One Beaver Bank hockey player left a good first impression with his new Quebec Major Junior Hockey League team.

Ryan Francis, traded in January from Cape Breton to Saint John, scored four times in his first game with the team since the trade as Saint John skated to a 5-3 win over Acadie-Bathurst Titan.

It was the N.B. clubs first games since mid November due to COVID19.

Vladislav Kotkov had the other Sea Dog tally. He contributed three assists, as did Peter Reynolds.

Zachary Emond made 27 saves for the win. Jan Bednar was tagged with the loss, stopping 31 shots in his QMJHL debut.

Saint sits at 6-6-3-1 while Bathurst now stands at 9-5-1-1.
