ENFIELD: East Hants RCMP responded to 90 calls for service between Jan. 26 and Feb. 2.

Here are just a few of the calls, all from a busy Jan. 31, as provided by S/Sgt. Cory Bushell from the Enfield detachment.

The busy day started at 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 31. At that time, East Hants RCMP received a report of a person driving their vehicle onto the train tracks and the caller said it now appears stuck.

Upon arrival, members observed the driver running from the area.

The member caught up to him and determined he was impaired. The 23-year-old male from Enfield was charged with impaired driving and will face court at a later date.

At 2:54 p.m., RCMP received a report that a woman was seen pouring vodka into a water bottle in the Elmsdale Superstore parking lot and driving away.

An officer located the suspect vehicle in Lantz and conducted a traffic stop.The driver, a 65-year-old woman from Lantz, was charged with refusal to provide a sample of her breath. She will be facing court at a later date.  

Later in the afternoon, while conducting a check stop in Belnan, an officer interdicted a revoked driver. 

The 21-year-old male from Nine Mile river was charged with driving while suspended.

The vehicle he was driving was towed.
