ENFIELD: Over the past week, officers with East Hants RCMP responded to ninety-six calls for service.

The following are some of the highlighted calls as provided by Sgt. Scott MacRae with East Hants RCMP.

MAN CHARGED WITH ASSAULT

A 52-year-old East Hants man has been arrested for an alleged assault.

Police responded to a report of a domestic assault in the community.

A woman was allegedly thrown to the ground by a man.

RCMP officers attended the scene and were able to locate the suspect. He was arrested for assault.

Police also seized two firearms at the scene.

Traffic Offences

East Hants RCMP issued seven Summary Offence Tickets during this period.

This included tickets for speeding, failing to obey a traffic sign, failing to stop for a red light, and operating a vehicle without registration.

With the start of a new school year the public reminded to drive carefully, obey school zone speed limits, and be mindful around school buses for the safety of children getting on and off buses.

Police also attended to six motor vehicle collisions during the past week.

This week East Hants’ most wanted is Wilfred Simon.

Simon is wanted for Assault.
