NINE MILE RIVER: Here is a look at the fire calls for local volunteer fire departments in Stewiacke; Nine Mile River; Elmsdale; Lantz; Enfield; Milford; Indian Brook; and Kennetcook.

There was no information provided from Shubenacadie or Mount Uniacke fire this month.

Nine Mile River fire responded to five calls in November, led by three mutual aid to a neighbouring department calls; one mvc; and one medical assist.

For Elmsdale Fire, they were toned out for 20 calls, led by 11 medical assists. They also had four mvc’s; two alarm activations; one fire investigation; one fire call; and one flue fire.

Lantz Fire responded to 17 calls in November, with that tally led by 10 medical assists. The firefighters also had two alarm activations; two structure fires; one mvc; one chimney fire; and one suspicious odour call.

For Enfield Fire, they heard the sounds of their people a total of 16 times during the past month, led by eight mvc’s. They also had two power lines arcing calls; two mutual aid to a neighbouring department calls; two brush fires; one alarm activation; and one medical.

Milford Fire was paged out for five calls in November.  That list included three mvc’s; two medical assists; and assisting Indian Brook fire and Shubenacadie fire with a structure fire in Indian Brook.

For Indian Brook fire, they responded to two calls. One was a mutual aid call to the structure fire in Shubenacadie and one was for an mvc.

Stewiacke Fire responded to 15 calls in November, led by seven mvc’s. They also had four medical assists; one commercial fire alarm activation; one fire investigation; one mutual aid structure fire call to Brookfield and one to Indian Brook.

For Kennetcook fire, they had three calls last month. They were single calls to a shed fire; mutual aid mvc call; and a medical assist.
