HALIFAX: A 29-year-old man from the Halifax area faces three charges stemming from a two-vehicle collision in Halifax on Oct. 3.

Police say in a release that at approximately 11:50 p.m., officers with Halifax Regional Police responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Main Avenue and Titus Street in Halifax.

One of the drivers involved was observed fleeing the scene.

The driver of the struck vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

At approximately 12:10 a.m., officers located the vehicle and the driver.

While officers were speaking with the driver, he showed signs of impairment and was arrested without incident.

A 29-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date to face charges of:

• Operation of a conveyance while impaired causing bodily harm

• Operation of a conveyance while impaired by alcohol over 80mg

• Failure to stop after an accident resulting in bodily harm
