BEAVER BANK: No charges or arrests were made following an ATV crash along a logging road on New Years Eve in North Beaver Bank, police said.

N.S. RCMP Cpl. Chris Marshall said police were called to the single-vehicle collision at 9:58 p.m. on Dec. 31 near the 3050 block of Beaver Bank Road.

He said EHS paramedics and firefighters from HRM Station 48 Beaver Bank also attended the call.

“Officers arrived on scene and found a male and female near a crashed Can Am ATV,” said Cpl. Marshall.

The 24-year-old Lower Sackville woman was uninjured; however, the man, a 28-year-old from Wellington, suffered injuries and was later taken to hospital by ambulance.

He said no charges or arrests resulted from the crash.

“Conflicting stories were given at the scene and officers could not definitively say who was driving the ATV at the time of the collision,” said Cpl. Marshall.

“As a result, no charges were laid, and no arrests were made.”
