SHUBENACADIE: A 48-year-old New Brunswick man is facing impaired driving charges after being stopped by RCMP in the Shubenacadie area.

East Hants RCMP S/Sgt. Cory Bushell said officers with the Enfield detachment received a BOLO (“Be On the Lookout”) from Halifax Regional Police on Dec. 10.

“They advised an SUV was headed in the direction of East Hants along highway 102 and the driver could be impaired,” said S/Sgt. Bushell.

He said East Hants members immediately began to look for the vehicle which they located northbound on Hwy 102 near Shubenacadie.

The vehicle was stopped, and the driver found to be impaired.

S/Sgt. Bushell said the 48-year-old New Brunswick man will face the courts for charges of impaired driving at a later date.
