SHUBENACADIE: A community member has stepped up for the Shubenacadie Community Development Association.
After hearing about the theft of the water trailer from the SCDA, resident Shawn Kendall knew he had to help.
He decided to donate his time and the use of his truck and water tank. Kendall rigged up a watering wand on his truck.
On Monday morning Sept. 1, Kendall and SCDA member Al MacLeod Jr. made their way around the community to get the flower baskets watered.

Last week, MacLeod Jr. had made a post informing the community of the theft of the watering trailer.
This trailer is purpose-built to water the flower baskets hung along Main Street (Highway 2).
After reviewing security camera footage, it was determined that It happened overnight Thursday / Friday.
The trailer was parked on the graveled area behind the old restaurant adjacent Ettinger Funeral Home parking lot.
Please keep your eyes open for it. It was recently painted the lower back portion of it with florescent green paint.
