NEW WATERFORD: The Tri County Rangers U-12 AA girls are provincial baseball champions.
The girls scored an amazing 42 runs while surrendering 26 in four games played at the provincials.
The championship was held in New Waterford, Cape Breton last weekend.

The Rangers picked up wins of 12-4 over host New Waterford; 16-10 over Amherst and 12-10 over Kentville, the only real close game they had.
In the championship they faced Amherst and came away with a 12-2 victory claiming the provincial Tier 1 girls banner.
Many of the players on the Rangers team have come up through the LWF Baseball Association and Sackville Minor Baseball.
