SHUBENACADIE: Municipality of East Hants Town Crier Anita Benedict led the crowd in the short ceremony and countdown to lighting of the Christmas tree in Shubenacadie on Friday night.
There was Christmas music played after the tree lighting and hot chocolate.
Fireworks also followed the tree lighting, which took place in People’s Park.
It was hosted by Shubenacadie Fire.
