FALL RIVER: A youth charged with a knife assault near Lockview High School in Fall River last month will be back in youth court on Dec. 6 in Halifax.

The 15-year-old, who cannot be identified because of the Young Offenders Act, was in court on Nov. 20 for an arraignment. He returned on Nov. 22 where he sought bail. He was released on recognizance, including many conditions including he not attend school and stay away from the victim.

On Nov. 19, the alleged incident is said to have taken place in a wooded area near the school where the youth charged is alleged to have used a knife on another youth.

The gash on the victim’s neck required six stitches.

The 15-year-old youth faces charges of aggravated assault; possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose; extortion; robbery; and uttering threats.

He is to be back in court on Dec. 6 for election/plea.
