Christmas musical written by Fall River man touring N.S.

FALL RIVER: “A Christmas Dollhouse” is a musical for all ages written by Vladimir Sitnikov of Fall River and Cheryl Edgett, inspired by the novel of same name by Halifax writer Richard Rudnicki.

Based on a true story that took place in Halifax, Nova Scotia during the 1930’s, it is a reflection of friendship, forgiveness, kindness, celebration and community during the Christmas season.

This production brings together a beautiful musical score, talented young cast, captivating set and costumes, brilliant musicianship and exciting dance by the Souvenir Dance Ensemble, based at the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts in Halifax. The CD Art is by students of Brushstrokes Art Studio in Fall River. The soundtrack was recorded by 2019 East Coast Music Award winning, Producer of the Year, Scott Ferguson at FPM Matrix Studio in Dartmouth Nova Scotia.

Performances began Nov. 15 in Truro at the Marigold Cultural Arts Centre; with another set for Nov. 30 at the Mahone Bay Centre.
