STEWIACKE: This morning at approximately 10:30 a.m. Colchester County RCMP responded to a collision between a truck and a car on Hwy. 2 (Stewiacke Rd.) in Stewiacke on Jan. 4.
EHS and the Stewiacke Fire Department also responded. Brookfield fire was also paged mutual with their Jaws of Life.
One person was extricated from the vehicle they were in.
The driver of the car, a 35-year-old woman from Dartmouth, was air lifted to QEII and the passenger of the car was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
An RCMP Collision Analyst is on scene and the intersection of Hwy. 2 and Alton Rd. remains closed. Traffic is being diverted.
