Youth faces charges following break and enter

LOWER SACKVILLE: A 17-year-old youth from the Sackville area is facing a slew of charges, including break-and-enter and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose following an incident on Aug. 27.

At 7 p.m., Halifax District RCMP responded to a report of a male on the roof of Sackville High School.

With assistance from the Halifax Regional Police K-9 Unit, a 17-year-old male was located in the school where he was arrested without incident.

He is facing charges for Break and Enter, Theft under $5000, Mischief and Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.

The youth is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Youth Court at a later date.

Police say the investigation is continuing.
