FLETCHERS LAKE: The first ever “Olivia’s Hope with Every Step” five kilometre walk in support of Ataxia-Telangiectasia A-T Children’s Project took place May 11 in Lower Sackville.

The walk was organized by Amy DeMone, who’s daughter Olivia has AT, and took place at Second Lake Trail in the Sackville Lakes Provincial Park.

It’s aim was to raise money through the AT Children’s Project located in the US who provide funds raised for research which can take place all over the world.

Besides the walk, attended by 125 participants young and old who got to don walk t-shirts and take to the trail raising almost $10,000 (between walk and online donations), Hillcrest Volkswagen was donating $10 from every test drive on May 11 towards the fundraiser.
