Phillips, Metro West Force claim Bantam AA girls crown

FALL RIVER: Goalie Lucy Phillips of Fall River has led her Metro West Force Bantam AA Blue girls hockey team to the provincial championship with a close 3-1 victory on March 25 in the final.

It’s a third straight provincial title for Phillips, who attends GP Vanier Junior High. She stopped 20 of 21 shots in the game.

Taylor Jeffrey scored twice, while Jill Duggan added an empty net tally for Metro West Force Blue.

During the five games in the tournament Phillips had a save percentage of .955 per cent and her goals against average was 0.80.

The provincial win also punches their ticket to the Atlantics.
