WINSOR JUNCTION: National Safe Driving Week kicked off Dec. 1 on National Impaired Driving Enforcement Day. RCMP will be conducting checkpoints beginning today and throughout the week to encourage motorists to drive safe.
“National Safe Driving Week is an opportunity to reinforce the importance of driving responsibly and sober,” says Cpl. Michael Carter with Nova Scotia RCMP Traffic Services.
“It also gives us the opportunity to remind motorists that speeding, distracted driving, impaired driving, and not wearing a seatbelt are the four main causes of serious injury and fatal collisions in Nova Scotia.”
