ENFIELD: East Hants RCMP responded to 87 calls for service during the period of March 9 to March 16 throughout the Municipality of East Hants.
Besides the three police briefs reported in separate stories, the following two were provided by S/Sgt. Cory Bushell of calls highlighted for the past seven days.
On March 13, East Hants RCMP was alerted to the Enfield area to render assistance as a senior was in distress.
The caller reported coming home to find an elderly female in her mid 80’s standing across the street, holding onto a bush, cold and confused.
Another local resident ushered the senior inside to get warm until she was attended to by EHS.
The investigation reveled the individual had left her home and became disoriented. She was quickly reunited with family.
RCMP were called to the Lions Den Park in Enfield on March 14 where three used syringes were found on the ground near the ballfield.
The member quickly retrieved the syringes and properly disposed of them.
Residents are reminded that used syringes are not always a sign of criminal activity, but they are absolutely a health hazard and should never be handled without proper protection.
