MILFORD: Public health sent a letter home to parents/guardians of students at Hants East Rural High (HERH) on Dec. 16.

In the letter, public health said the exposure at HERH took place on Dec. 13.

“At this time, we do not believe this is the result of transmission (spread) in the school setting,” Public Health said in the letter.
Public Health is not recommending additional measures at this time.

“We are working with the ChignectoCentral Regional Centre for Education and the school to make sure all steps are taken to protect students and staff.

Public Health will identify and send a separate letter to anyone who may have been exposed as a close contact. This will be sent through the school.

“Public Health recommends that everyone in the school community carefully watch for COVID-19 symptoms,” the letter said.

If symptoms develop, please stay home and complete the online assessment at https://covidself-assessment.novascotia.ca/en or call 811 if you don’t have access to the internet.
